Gary Trimm
Director
Mr. Trimm is President and Chief Executive Officer of Concurrent. Concurrent is
a leader in providing on-demand systems to the broadband industry and real-time
computer systems for industry and government.
Mr. Trimm is a veteran of 30 years including positions in engineering, marketing,
and general management in both public and private companies. His 15 years of experience
in telecommunications span the satellite, cable television, and telephony markets.
Most recently, Mr. Trimm was CEO of Strategic Management, LLC engaged in consulting
on business strategy, fund- raising , and market positioning for emerging technology
clients. The company also conducted mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in the
industry.
Mr. Trimm was CEO of Compression Labs in San Jose, CA which built digital MPEG Video
and Audio Compression Systems for use in Direct Broadcast Satellite, Cable Television
and Videoconferencing markets. He was President of Scientific Atlanta's Subscriber
Systems Division during the industry's transition from analog to digital systems,
and President of North American Operations. In this capacity, he held P&L and general
management responsibility for a major part of the company's revenues and directed
the company's move into relationships with major customers in the telephony market
sector. Prior to his assignments in the telecom sector, Mr. Trimm held a number
of management positions in the Instrumentation and Process Control Industry. Mr.
Trimm holds a B.S in Physics from Berry College and did graduate work in Physics
at Clemson University. He served as an Officer in the U.S. Navy completing tours
of duty on two Nuclear Submarines. He has served on the Board of Directors of public
and private telecommunications technology companies.
