BULLETIN NUMBER: SWB-030
DATE ISSUED: May 23, 2003
DATE CLOSED: September 15, 2003
AFFECTED SYSTEMS: All Supported iHawk Systems.
RELEASE LEVEL: RedHawk 1.3
EXPLANATION: The “ccur-config -c” command fails with the generic kernel.
Due to an error in the ccur-config script that was introduced in RedHawk 1.3, it is not possible to successfully run “ccur-config –c” while the system is running the pre-built generic kernel (Trace=No, Debug=No).
RESOLUTION: This problem will be fixed in the next release of RedHawk. Until then, the following workaround can be used:
1. Edit the script file /usr/src/linux-2.4.21RedHawk1.3/ccur-config.
2. Change line 121 from (“ “) to (“1.3”).
This change will allow “ccur-config -c” to successfully configure the kernel source tree to allow building drivers to match the generic kernel.
