BULLETIN NUMBER:  SWB-036

DATE ISSUED:  June 3, 2004

DATE CLOSED:  June 3, 2004

AFFECTED SYSTEMS:  Power Hawk Models 910/920

RELEASE LEVEL:  PowerMAX OS 6.1 and 6.1 Service Releases w/ egl driver installed.

EXPLANATION:  A Power Hawk Model 910/920 computer system that has a 4207 Eagle Ethernet
Controller installed cannot be strapped to the default I/O Addr 2 indicated in the /etc/conf/sadapter.d/kernel
file.  If this address is used then the board will not function properly.  The default strapping of the board and
address indicated in the file is 0xf2xxxxxx.

RESOLUTION:  This problem can be alleviated by instead using the address 0xe2xxxxxx for the strapping

of the board and as the address used in the /etc/conf/sadapters.d/kernel file.  The 4207 Eagle Ethernet Controller

support will be discontinued in the next release of PowerMAX OS so this bulletin only applies to PowerMAXOS 6.1

and any Service Releases and the Affected Systems identified above.
